Where to stay in Ibiza: Visit Ibiza

What is the best area where to stay in Ibiza? Surely this is the question you are asking yourself if you have chosen this island for your holidays.

Ibiza is famous above all for its intense evening life and trendy nightclubs, which is why it is the favorite destination for young people and lovers of nightlife.

But Ibiza is not just nightlife, in fact thanks to its crystal clear waters it is also ideal for families and couples in search of the beautiful sea and relaxation.

What are you looking for in Ibiza? Sea and relaxation, alternative clubs or crazy nights at the disco.

You can choose according to your preferences the most suitable area to stay in Ibiza.

WHERE TO STAY IN IBIZA

Le most chosen areas where to stay in Ibiza are, the city of Ibiza, Playa Den Bossa or San Antonio.

The first is the best choice for those looking for a fairly quiet area but with nice clubs and a good location to get around the island, while Playa Den Bossa and San Antonio are the points where the nightlife is most concentrated.

But let's see in detail all the possible areas to sleep in Ibiza.

IBIZA CITY (Ibiza)

If you want to stay away from the wild nightlife, but still in an area full of clubs, bars and restaurants, the best choice is to stay in the center of Ibiza, especially near the old town.

The area is convenient for getting around the island and visiting the most beautiful coves and beaches of Ibiza during the day. You can travel by public buses, but it is better to rent a vehicle, car or scooter, to be more independent and move easily.

On an island renowned above all for its nightlife, such a fascinating historic center is a great surprise, do not miss a walk through the alleys of the old city.

DEN BOSSA BEACH

For those looking for the real Ibiza, with nightlife and discos, the right place to stay is Playa Den Bossa, located about 5 km from Eivissa.

The sea is not very beautiful, but there are always parties on the beach and there is dancing until late at night !.

The area is a succession of clubs, bars and pubs and most of the discos are located here, especially the Space and Ushuaia.

To reach other clubs such as Privilege and Amnesia there are free shuttles that leave every half hour.

Sant Antoni de Portmany

Sant Antonio is another area full of clubs and nightlife, among the best known are the Caffé Mambo and the Cafe de Mar where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunset on the island.

Many advise against San Antonio due to the late night presence of young Brits with a strong passion for alcohol and who you will find perpetually drunk.

In reality they are always concentrated in the same area, where the pubs are located.

The advantages of San Antonio however are i significantly lower prices compared to Playa Den Bossa and above all proximity to the most beautiful beaches, such as Cala Tarida, Cala Comte or Cala Salada, easily reachable by bus or ferry.

If you choose San Antonio as an area to stay in Ibizia, I recommend that you look for accommodation not in the center.

FIGUERETAS

For those who want to stay close to the historic center of Eivissa, another good choice where to stay in Ibiza is Figueretas, much less chaotic than Playa Den Boss and cheaper.

The sea is not among the most beautiful on the island but it can be a good compromise when you don't want to move to other beaches.

WHERE TO STAY IN IBIZA FOR FAMILIES

The best area to stay in Ibiza for a family holiday and with children is Cala Tarida, very quiet area, with splendid sea. In Cala Tarida there are several tourist resorts ideal for those looking for an all-inclusive holiday!
