It doesn't have a title yet, the 25th film by James Bond. But the anticipation, around 007 & co., is already very high. Why? Because the episode will mark a back to the origins, to that Jamaica where it all began.

The announcement of the cast of the new James Bond was made precisely from Jamaica, and more precisely from the GoldenEye resort Oracabessa Bay. It is here that the character of 007 was born from the mind of Ian Fleming, and it is here that many of his adventures were set. Starting with “007 – License to Kill”, the first episode of the saga aired in 1962.

The video announcing the cast, released on 007's social networks, underlines the grandeur of the location. And the historical producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, together with the director Cary Fukunaga, have anticipated that the film will begin with Bond on holiday, intent on relaxing in the waters of Jamaica which for him is a sort of "spiritual home".

However, it will be a short rest, that of the secret agent: Felix Leiter, a colleague from the CIA, will soon arrive to ask him for help in freeing a kidnapped scientist. And he will distract him from the beauties of the place, in which the production also made a special home for the secret agent, a villa in the countryside which at the end of the video can be seen in the entire construction process.

After all, five of James's fourteen books are set in Jamaica. It is from her sea that Ursula Andress comes out in her breathtaking bikini in “Dr. No?”, and this is where the splendid ones are found Dunn's River Falls. Or, again, the caves of Green Grotto Caves next to Discovery Bay, where the bad guys in “Live and Let Die” hide.

But there is not only room for Jamaica in the 25th episode of James Bond. Several scenes will also be filmed in Italy, in Matera and Puglia, while others will be set in Norway. You'll see it here, Daniel Craig. And then the whole cast: Rami Malek, Naomie Harris and Lea Séydoux, just to name a few of the actors cast. To see the final result, however, we will have to wait a little longer: The theatrical release is scheduled for April 3, 2020.
