Palacio de Sal: sleep in a salt hotel

Born from the extraordinary vision of architect Juan Quesada Valda, it is probably inspired by the great expanse of salt which runs right nearby, the Palacio de Sal is the first salt hotel in the world, and is one of the most extraordinary accommodations on the entire planet.

The accommodation facility is located south of La Paz, and it is the perfect starting point to reach the Salar de Uyuni and discover all the extraordinary wonders that belong to this place. Designed for the first time in the 90s, in 2004 the hotel was completely rebuilt with the aim of carrying forward the architect's mission: to combine in a single place the beauty of nature and luxury services.

And at the end the dream came true. Palacio de Sal today is an elegant, luxurious and certainly eco-sustainable hotel, given that the structure is made entirely with salt. The walls, as well as the domed roofs and ceilings, are made with salt bricks and they are not the only ones. Salt, in fact, is also a recurring element in the design and furnishing of the interiors so as to perpetuate that continuous dialogue with the wonders that unfold all around the hotel.

As we anticipated, Palacio de Sal is a luxury hotel. In fact, there is no shortage of a refined restaurant, a beautiful Spa and numerous suites equipped with all comforts to complete the offer. True luxury, however, we know, lies in the possibility of sleeping inside a wonderful structure that overlooks one of Mother Nature's most incredible masterpieces.
