Liguria

Liguria is located in the north-west of Italy, on the border with France. The region features towering mountains and beautiful green grassy hills of the Mediterranean overlooking the Ligurian Sea. Hill and sea are divided by a high indented coast.

Liguria is a multifaceted sliver of the peninsula, where differences intertwine to create a wide range of things to do and see during a trip or vacation in this beautiful region. Nature, mountains, culture, entertainment and nightlife: Liguria offers everything and much more. The waters of this stretch of the Mediterranean are an extremely important feature of the region, with its characteristic rocky coasts interrupted by small coves and beaches of fine, golden sand. The Cinque Terre and the Gulf of Poets, the Gulf of Tigullio, Genoa and Golfo Paradiso, the Riviera delle Palme and the Riviera dei Fiori make up the famous coast of Liguria that stretches from Ameglia to Ventimiglia, for more than 300 km.

During such a spectacular journey between the beauty of the land and the sea, we can see the most famous tourist resorts of Liguria: Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, Rapallo, Sestri Levante with its enchanting Bay of Silence, and Chiavari. One after another, wide beaches, tiny harbors with gorgeous and incredible scenery greet visitors, and turn into lively centers at night, with lots of entertainment and shopping. Some of these include: Sanremo, the city of flowers, famous for the Italian Song Festival and the Casino; the refined cities of Bordighera and Alassio, with its 3 kilometers of fine sand, together with Laigueglia and Varigotti, some of the gems of the Riviera di Ponente. Then comes Portovenere in front of the Palmaria Island and then Lerici with its imposing medieval castle, elegant villas and lush gardens.

The Ligurian Sea also attracts numerous specimens of sperm whales, fin whales and dolphins, which find their natural habitat and live safely in this area known as the "Cetacean Sanctuary". The large woods of Liguria with their centuries-old trees, a real natural heritage, are an excellent alternative to traditional tourism. Immersion in the natural environments of the region allows you to get to know and see the places where man, with love and dedication, has been able to cultivate the best fruits. Places rich in history, culture and traditions, which testify to the passage of ancient peoples from the sea.
