The city of Sorrento develops in height, with the lower part consisting of its two most famous beaches: Marina Grande and Marina Piccola. A second higher area is the one where the historic center is located, with its typical alleys.

Sorrento is a relatively small city, where most of the attractions are within easy walking distance when staying on the strip of land between the port and the main road, Via Capo.
