CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's new playground island in the Bahamas

The famous cruise company will inaugurate CocoCay next May, an exclusive destination reserved for its guests

Royal Caribbean announces an important innovation, which will delight (especially) the little ones: it will open in May 2019 Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Huge island playground, CocoCay will be a private tourist destination in the heart of the Bahamas, reserved for Royal Caribbean guests. Here you can relax on splendid white beaches, you can swim in crystal clear waters, and you can enjoy adrenaline-filled experiences in the Thrill Water Park, including spectacular slides, water sports and zip lines.

Landing on the island will be much more than a holiday experience: you will be able to conquer the highest water slides in North America, relax inside a large balloon inflated with helium and suspended from the ground, sip a cocktail on the edge of the largest swimming pool in the Bahamas. It will be like being in Bora Bora, and at the same time in an American metropolis. A unique place in the world, reserved for Royal Caribbean guests.

Almost all attractions are included in the cruise booking cost that land here: they range from weekend-long cruises departing from Miami or Orlando to those that last a week, but the options are truly many and all can already be booked on the company's website. Once you arrive at CocoCay, you will be able to enjoy the many free attractions (just as the restaurants will also be free), which will see the light before next summer: the Oasis Lagoon (the largest freshwater pool in the archipelago), Captain Jack's Galleon with its slides and cannons that shoot water, the Splashaway Bay water park. However, the Zip Line, the “Up, Up and Away” helium balloon and the Coco Beach Club require a small extra fee.

The new pier at CocoCay will welcome tourists starting in January 2019, but only All the attractions on the island will open in May (which will be completed in December, with the inauguration of South Beach, the Coco Beach Club and the overwater cabanas).
