In fact, unlike many other botanical gardens and natural parks in the world, the Hitachi is accessible throughout the year and there is always an excellent opportunity to visit it: even in the winter months for example you can admire the tiger lilies and Ice Tulips.



The park is well connected to major Japanese cities, including Tokyo: Trains depart regularly from Nippori station which take you to the park in just two hours. There is also an express train called Fresh Hitachi which allows you to save some time, but has a decidedly higher price than other trains. The park opens at 9.30 and closes at different times depending on the season and admission for adults costs just over 3 euros.
