Depending on the area of the island there are different beaches. To the north there are the most popular and postcard-perfect ones, such as Trou aux Biches, Mont Choisy, Grand Baie. To the east there are lagoons with turquoise waters. The Belle Mare coast is among the most beautiful spots in this area, with its beautiful white sand beach. The coastal road that goes from Palmar (where some of the most beautiful resorts on the island are concentrated and where the C Mauritius was also recently inaugurated) to Trou d'Eau Douce winds up to Grand Port and ends in the village of Mahebourg.

Who chooses the South coast will find wilder sceneries and cliffs on which the ocean waves crash. Like Blue Bay, the marine park where you can admire the corals from the mainland, or Gris Gris, while in the West there is a paradise for surfers and kite surfers due to the currents. Here you can still find white sand beaches like the famous one Flic en Flac but it is also the best area to try swimming with dolphins.

Mauritius is one of the favorite destinations for honeymoon couples, of course, but not only. In addition to the splendid beaches - coves, coves and long sandy stretches - they are framed by the peaks of the volcanic heights, rich in lush, almost primordial vegetation.

In fact, Mauritius is the "green" island par excellence. In the hinterland you will find breathtaking scenery amidst the greenery, hidden waterfalls (Chamarel, those of the “Coloured Lands”, Rochester and Tamarin, tea and sugar cane plantations, tropical gardens and natural parks. A true Eden, in short. Enough follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin, who was apparently the first to reach the summit of Mount Thumb, the mountain that takes its name from the characteristic shape of an upturned thumb. From the top of what is one of the highest peaks on the island (812 metres), you can admire a 360 degree panorama of the northern part of the island, including the capital, Port Louis. The highest peak, however, is that of Piton of the Little Black River (828 meters).

Moving further south, the excursion to Mount di is unmissable Le Morne Brabant, a site declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as a symbol of liberation from slavery as it helps to tell an important piece of the island's history.

In the vicinity of Curepipe there is, however, Deer Hole, the most famous dormant volcano in Mauritius. In the center of the crater, surrounded by lush vegetation, a wonderful lake has formed.
