Visit Madrid Botanical Garden: timetables, prices and how to get there

Visiting the Madrid Botanical Garden (Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid) is quite easy and also comfortable, being located very close to Atocha station and museums most important in Madrid. So if you have just come out of a visit to the museum, we recommend that you go to the Botanical Garden, as it is a very relaxing and uncrowded place.

The garden is divided into three sections: the terraces of aromatic and medicinal plants; the botanical terrace where there is a very interesting collection of plants, some very old; and the terrace of shrubs and trees.



Finally, it is also of considerable interest the saw which surprises most visitors, with some incredibly tall and large cacti. The greenhouse is divided into climates: tropical climate, temperate climate and desert climate. They can also be admired beautiful tropical and aquatic plants.

Opening time

Madrid's botanical garden is open to the public every day of the year, except on Christmas and New Year's Eve.

The time of aperture it is always at 10:00.

The time of chiusura it is variable. In the winter period at 18 pm, in spring and autumn at 00 pm - 19 pm and in summer at 00 pm.

How to reach us

You can easily reach Madrid's botanical garden by public transport, for example by metro, bus, car or bike.



If you arrive by meter take Line 1 and get off at Estación del Arte (Antigua Atocha) or Atocha Renfe stations; or Line 2 and get off at Banco de España station.



By bus the lines leading to the Madrid botanical garden are: 10, 14, 27, 34, 37, 45, 6, 19, 26, 32,1, 2, 202, 3, 5, 9, 15, 20, 51, 52 , 53, 74 59, 85, 86, C1 and C2.
