    St Julian’s it is also known by the names of San Giuliano e Saint Julian and it is a pretty town located along the north-eastern coast of the island of Malta, reachable in about twenty minutes starting from the capital Valletta. The town of San Giuliano has become famous over the decades due to its rich and lively nightlife as well as its cutting-edge tourist infrastructure. Although the city is located in an area that remained virtually uninhabited until the nineteenth century, St Julian's still has numerous attractions for those looking not only for night time entertainment but also a bit of culture, history and above all beautiful, breathtaking views!



    With its almost eight thousand inhabitants, San Giuliano is one of the most visited destinations on the entire island of Malta and is famous above all for the area known as paceville, overflowing with restaurants, bars, discos and nightclubs.     San Giuliano also hosts one of the largest and most important casino of the island of Malta, the Dragonara Casino, which is located inside a prestigious, perfectly preserved nineteenth-century building and which constitutes one of the main attractions of the area.     The area of ​​San Giuliano remained almost uninhabited until the 19th century, although some archaeological research has brought to light many finds dating back to the Bronze Age and Roman times such as the very interesting remains of a tower and the vestiges of a place of burial of probable Saracen origin. The main monument of St Julian's is undoubtedly his old parish, dedicated to the patron saint of the city, San Giuliano di Sora. The church was built in 1580 although it has been enlarged, remodeled and finally rebuilt countless times over the centuries. Fortunately for tourists, the beautiful paintings and original frescoes kept there are well preserved and still visible.

    San Giuliano is also known for its naturalistic aspect thanks to its enchanting beaches, suggestive bays and an uncontaminated landscape, all aspects that contribute to increasing the charm of this town and which, undoubtedly, represent one of the main attractions of the whole island of Malta. Along the enchanting coast we find the splendid Sant'Andrea beach, characterized by the presence of rugged rock formations, but its width is also truly breathtaking St. George's Bay beach equipped with soft white sandstone.


    One of the most suggestive and fascinating views of the area is the enchanting one Spinola Bay, a small and ancient fishing village that we recommend you visit by walking along its historic streets. Spinola Bay is teeming with small picturesque boats and along the bay there are some beautiful gardens, where you can stroll calmly while enjoying the quiet of the place or stop to spend some of your time caressed by the sweet breeze coming from the sea.
