spend the New Year's Eve in the heat it is the dream of many. And to achieve it, it is not necessary to fly to the other side of the world: a two-hour flight from Italy is enough to reach Malta.

Every year, starting at the end of November, a question buzzes in everyone's heads: what to do New Year's? History always repeats itself, and many Italians seem to have gotten around this problem in a decidedly simple way, packing your bags and leaving the borders of our country. One or two hours of flight and you're served a different New Year's Eve than usual, which doesn't force you to drive around crowded streets to reach well-known places. To have fun, the desire for discovery that usually pushes you to leave will be enough.

However, it is necessary to fit in some commitments, between the number of days allowed for holidays and the costs of airline tickets. If you intend to spend the Warm Christmas on the other side of the world you will in fact need a rather large budget and a lot of time available. However, there is a solution: a decidedly mild climate is within reach, about a two-hour flight away, ready to make this New Year's dream a reality.

Where to go to best celebrate the new year? The answer is Malta. Here the temperatures settle on average at around 19 degrees, and thus offer the possibility of enjoying a spring or even summer Christmas or New Year, rather than a winter one. A pleasant change of direction, for a holiday that fits perfectly into your commitments. Malta is indeed the ideal destination for those who have little holidays to exploit, and offers many places to visit despite its small size.

It is impossible not to visit the historic center of Valletta, considering its historical heritage, protected by UNESCO. There are countless views to discover and breathtaking landscapes, which the masses of tourists usually avoid by limiting themselves to the canonical routes, without going to the bottom and thus without discovering the real beauties of Malta.

New Year's Eve in the square, here, is not something particularly heartfelt. However, there are various places where splendid events are organised. Shows and concerts are held in the square of St george to Valletta, but perhaps the best way to have fun on the last night of the year is to wander among the many clubs that Malta has to offer, in Sliema and St. Julian, precisely in the district of paceville. A neighborhood that comes alive at night, guaranteeing absolute fun. The most popular place for parties is the Bamboo Bar, while the most chic is the Portovino.

What really matters, however, is being able to unplug from everything, from work but also from the daily anxieties that this time of year brings with it. No more being forced to organize everything down to the smallest detail. All you need is a ticket, the right desire to leave and the energy to stay up late in the streets of a festively lit Malta.
