Egremni beach, among the most spectacular in Greece

It is not easy to say that a Greek beach is “the most spectacular”, since the country has a great variety of fairy tale shores, bathed by an exceptional sea and inserted in a landscape context that must be seen at least once in a lifetime.

However, when it comes to Egremni Beach, we can say without fear of contradicting ourselves that it is truly one of the most spectacular beaches to admire (and experience) in all of Greece.

Let's find out why.

Egremni beach, the charm of Lefkada

Egremni is one of the flagships of lefkada, one of the wildest islands in Greece, linked to the mainland by a fifty-meter mobile bridge, so incredible that it could be defined as the "Caribbean of Europe", made up of rocks facing the sea, secluded inlets, mountain villages and countless places of interest, including mention of the waterfalls of the Dimosari Gorge, the Eglouvi Plateau, the lively village of Nydri and the city of Lefkada.

The magnificent beach stands out on the southwestern tip of the island and looks like a square with i's.infinite shades of blue and blue at the end of a famous staircase with 347 steps: a mirage that comes true, an exceptional prize that instantly rewards any effort, to the point that the staircase bears the name "Stairway to Heaven", a name that is a guarantee.

But the panoramic view is only the beginning: once on the 2,5 kilometer wide beach the charm continues and, if possible, becomes even better: the impressive cliffs of white limestone that dominate it, covered by lush and dense vegetation, the clear and turquoise sea of captivating beauty, the very fine, clean and soft sand makes it a absolute paradise for those who love to try regenerating baths and relax in the sun away from the crowds.

Being exposed to the west, it is usually caressed by the wind and is perfect for surfing. The waves are constant, being the most powerful in the afternoon, which can reach up to three meters in height.

Wonder of Mother Nature, it is not equipped or supervised although, in summer, there is a kiosk that sells drinks and snacks and it is possible to rent sun loungers and parasols.
