Have you ever dreamed of sleep in the open air, under the starry sky, perhaps at the foot of the mountains or among the vineyards?

Today this dream is a reality because in Switzerland you can book a room in the middle of nature, without walls or roofs, but with a comfortable double bed, bedside tables and lights for evening reading. There is also the presence of a butler ready to bring you an aperitif or a tasty breakfast under the covers at the first light of dawn.

The brilliant idea today is at least apt both for those who are evaluating options for responsible, eco-sustainable and green tourism, complete with respect for social distancing, both for those who are looking for original and creative destinations.

The Null Stern Hotel or zero-star hotel "because the only star that shines is you" - just to quote the claim - is located in various locations in Switzerland and is only the latest idea of the German Null Stern group, founded by the concepts artist Frank is Patrik Riklin in collaboration with Daniel Charbonnier, professional at Minds in Motion SA, international hotel hospitality service. The same people who, a few years ago, created a minimal hotel built inside a former nuclear bunker in Teufen and began to spread this idea of the hotel without walls.

With this new hospitality project, the creators aim to green and alternative stays, to sleep without roofs or walls, in 7 different locations of Switzerland to discover areas such as St. Gallen and Lake Constance, Toggenburg, Heidiland (the area where Heidi was born and raised), Appenzellerland, Thurgau, Schaffhauserland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. To spend a special evening you can therefore choose a room in Eschen, under the mountains; get intoxicated by the scents of the Thal vineyards, in the Canton of St. Gallen; or stay in the splendid areas of the Canton of Thurgau and, again, book a room on the hills of Toggenburg, enjoying a breathtaking view of the Rhine valley.

Waking up at the first light of dawn with the noises and sounds of nature, the fresh and clean air and, above all, with a view that will leave all travellers, especially those with a romantic soul, enraptured.

The price for a room? We start from 295 euro per night, a fee that includes butler service and breakfast in the suite. What if bad weather arrives? Don't worry, we can arrange a new booking.
