Il Tibetan bridge recently opened, which has support cables weighing 8 tons, it cost 750.000 Swiss Francs, amounting to 660 thousand euros, mainly financed by private sponsors with the participation of the municipalities of Grächen, Zermatt, Randa, St. Niklaus and Täsch. The entrepreneur gave his name to the bridge Charles Kuonen, who has a home in the region and who participated in the project with a payment of 100.000 francs.
Not recommended to travel during storms - and unsuitable for the faint of heart, given the grids that allow you to see the void below - the Tibetan bridge is located on the Panoramic route of the Europaweg, whose altitude varies between 1.600 and 2.200 meters and whose view extends from the Matterhorn - which on the Swiss side is called Matterhorn – to the Dom up to the Bernese Alps.
