And the Italian cities? It is worth highlighting the feat of Milan (in 41st place), which although far from the top 10 surpasses Rome (in 53rd place, penalized for minor crimes), as well as New York and Tokyo (tied in 44th place), Madrid (52nd) and Lisbon (42nd). Paris, which fell to 37th place, loses 10 positions compared to 2015, due to the recent attacks.

In the ranking of the safest cities, Luxembourg, the capital of the state of the same name, dominates first place, followed by Bern, Zurich and Helsinki, all tied for second position.
The least safe cities in the world are Baghdad and Damascus, which are also at the bottom of the list in terms of quality of life.
